We are seeking an exceptional Shipping and Customs Clearing Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international shipping and customs regulations, coupled with proven expertise in coordinating complex logistics operations.
 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

 

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of shipping and customs clearance for import and export shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain relationships with shipping lines, customs authorities, and other third-party logistics providers.

• Analyze and interpret shipping documentation, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Prepare and submit customs declarations, handle queries, and respond to audits or inspections.

• Manage a team of customs clearing staff, providing guidance and training on customs procedures.

• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and optimizing processes.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.

• In-depth knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations and procedures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and French required. Arabic will be an advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant logistics software.
